About the Event

Learn about Scottish-American heritage and culture and get acquainted with landmarks on the National Mall during this approximately two hour walking tour.  With major sites linked to notable Scottish-Americans for the route, this tour provides an introduction to Scottish-American heritage and culture and the contributions of Scottish-Americans to the United States, ranging from the Founding Fathers to astronomy and more.

Starting location will be: 

National Mall side of the intersection of Constitution Ave. and 19th St., NW

Nearby Public Transport to arrive: 

· DC Circulator:    National Mall route has a stop at Constitution Ave. and 18th St., NW (https://www.dccirculator.com)

· Metro:    Farragut West and Federal Triangle stations on the Blue/Orange/Silver lines are about eight blocks away

Ending location will be:

National Mall side of Independence Ave. & 4th St., SW

Nearby Public Transport:

· DC Circulator:    National Mall route has a stop at Jefferson Drive and 4th St., SW (https://www.dccirculator.com/)

· Metro:    L’Enfant Plaza, SW station on the Blue/Orange/Silver lines is about one block away at the SE corner Maryland Ave. & 7th St. SW. Archives station on the Green/Yellow lines is about seven blocks away
